Notes for Nellie Whipple Nick:

According to some folks Nellie pretty much stayed in her upstairs bedroom and peered out her window due to her epilepsy. It was also said she was a beautiful woman. Never married.

Mawalla Nick Lesney recently told me that the reason Nellie had epilepsy was because of a serious head injury she received as a teenager. She had a metal plate put in her head from this accident which happened when some work was being done on a staircase where they lived. The staircase had been moved for the repairs so there was a hole in the floor. Nellie got up in the night and fell through the hole in the floor.
